Trickery Domain - invoke duplicity

Invoke duplicity + mirror image + hidden caster. Thoughts? Does this work? If so how?

Nope. Mirror image only operates in your space, so the images would only be where you are hiding. Do note that the ID duplicate cannot be harmed or dispelled. It lasts a whole minute regardless.

"For the duration, you can cast spells as though you were in the illusion's space, but you must use your own senses. Additionally, when both you and your illusion are within 5 feet of a creature that can see the illusion, you have advantage on attack rolls against that creature, given how distracting the illusion is to the target."

Using your interpretation a %50 miss chance is still pretty great!
