But warforged is armor and you can't wear armor as monk . What do you think?

This is why they have the Unarmored Body feat. It's the only way to play a Warforged Monk who can use its class features.

Also, monks can wear armor just fine. They're just really bad at it. Nothing stopping a monk from going armored if that's what they want to do with their life.

Not only can they be monks, they have special racial substitution levels for 5th and 11th level.

Composite plating does not interfere with monk class features in any way. A warforged is not considered to be wearing armor unless it takes Mithral Body, Adamantine Body, or Ironwood Body as a feat.

No, they have a natural armor bonus due to the resiliency of their metal bodies. You wouldn't be asking this for a catfolk and they have a +1 natural armor bonus.

It's not a natural armor bonus. It's an armor bonus. It can even be enhanced like armor. It just doesn't interfere with monk class features.

I stand corrected. I've never really dealt with them personally, so I just assumed. My bad.

Just be sure to use Carmendine Monk or Kung-Fu Genius to get around your Wis penalty.

This is correct - composite plating gives an armor bonus but it isn't actually armor.

IIRC, Unarmored Body is aimed at Warforged Wiz/Sorc who is unable/unwilling to pick up some sort of ASF removal.

*looks through books and ACF indexes* ... where?

Yes.
1. There's nothing saying a monk CAN'T where armor, just some saying that some of their class features are disabled when they do.
2. Warforged aren't wearing armor naturally. They make several comparisons between the ability and armor, which means that the ability itself is not armor.

Composite Plating: The plating used to build a warforged provides a +2 armor bonus. This plating is not natural armor and does not stack with other effects that give an armor bonus (other than natural armor). This composite plating occupies the same space on the body as a suit of armor or a robe, and thus a warforged cannot wear armor or magic robes. Warforged can be enchanted just as armor can be. The character must be present for the entire time it takes to enchant him. Composite plating also provides a warforged with a 5% arcane spell failure chance, similar to the penalty for wearing light armor. Any class ability that allows a warforged to ignore the arcane spell failure chance for light armor lets him ignore this penalty as well.
All of the bolded above spell out how Composite Plating is similar to armor. By doing so, it shows that the plating is not armor. After all, if their plating was armor, they wouldn't need to talk about how it's similar to armor.

After a quick search:

Class online here (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/classes/monk.htm)

Warforged Monk Substitution Levels (CoS 121):
5th level: Harmonious Form (meditate for 8 hours to recover 2x character level HP); replaces Purity of Body
11th level: Shifting Steel (unarmed strike can deal slashing or piercing damage instead of bludgeoning); replaces Diamond body

CoS - City of Stormreach.

WotC ruled on this: Warforged Monks don't need Unarmored Body at all.

Hrm, fair point. I was going off the cuff without book diving.

Or just be a Swordsage (Tome of Battle) and be probably better off.
