View Full Version : Is there any reason to NOT use the -2 augmentation on Dimension Door, Psionic?

Now, am I missing something, or most of the times (unless you need to move to teleport someone else) not using it would be a waste of PP because you can't take any actions after manifesting it anyways?

Sure. If you want to move outside an antimagic field first, for example, or if you want to use Shadowpounce with Shadow Blink and Shadow Stride. You can also use things like White Raven Tactics as a move action, or take an item out of your handy haversack, or ready an action to manifest dimension door, or use the 6-point augment after attacking.

Anyway: out of combat, no, not really.

You can't use a move action after teleporting, but you can use one before teleporting. There are plenty of reasons why you might want to.

Yea, sure. Still, it makes me feel that full-round action manifesting is actually not that restrictive, even for combat - it's not "1 round", so you still get the effect at the end of your turn, so it feels like a really useful augmentation.

Probably because it is a really useful augmentation.
