I kinda threw together an encounter for the PCs of a 2nd-level PF game. Having been unable to take books along with me for the game, I improvised a pair of ghostly beings who could possess and animate suits of armor.
Having possessed suits of medium-heavy armor, but not much else, their AC was in the 15-16 range, and they were able to deliver some moderate punishment via with their glaives. The PCs eventually smashed apart the armor - while they didn't destroy the war-ghosts, they pretty much rendered them unable to affect the PCs or stop them leaving, so I gave them the win.
Having eyeballed the encounter, I'm still not entirely sure how much XP to give them. Any thoughts?
