Never done a journal but here it goes! A bit of background; as the title suggests this game takes place after Episode 7. The PC's are members of the Resistance approximately 40 Standard Hours after the conclusion of the film. As far as canon goes, I'm using Disney Canon with cherry-picking from Legends when necessary. Otherwise, its my own headcanon (I'll try to mention when I'm inserting my own headcanon). Let's meet the party first shall we?

This plucky little Q7-XX9 R7 Series Special Edition astromech has seen the fall of the Empire. Originally built by the Empire as a specialist Saboteur, he was used to help destablize hostile planets and later the traitorous Rebels. However, he and his fellow Q7's were a little to ambitious with their tasks and the Empire ultimately decided to shut down the whole lot. With the help of the Bounty Hunter Silvas, Rex managed to escape his early termination. Rex adopted his new moniker and with Silvas help found his way to the Rebel's hands. After some reprogramming, he turned his saboteur specialty against his former handlers. After the fall of the Empire, Rex continued to work with Bounty Hunters to avoid what remnants of the Empire still hunted him. Through the now aged Silvas, Rex heard of General Leia's Resistance. Seeing a chance to make himself useful against the Imperial Trash that haunts his past, the plucky little astromech joined the Resistance.

Rex is the party's Mechanic and resident Saboteur.

A special assassin droid prototype built by the Empire as it was nearing its demise. The project was scrapped shortly before the fall of the Second Death Star due to random uncontrollable killing sprees and its creator ordered all the prototype's destroyed. B.E.A.F. was slotted to be slagged, but one smuggler saw benefit in a prototype on the black market. After sneaking B.E.A.F. out of the facility, he was reactivated and ultimately thanked the Smuggler (by not killing him). B.E.A.F. spent many Standard Years laying low, tinkering with his own programing and managed to control most of problems his creator had failed to fix. He could never quite seem to reduce his penchant for violence however. The New Republic had no desire to employ assassin droids in their rank and file, so B.E.A.F. joined the Resistance, since their recruitment restrictions were far less severe.

B.E.A.F. is the party's Soldier, Commando and Sharpshooter
Note: B.E.A.F. stands for Bio-Electric-Assault-Fiend

The stoic, honorable Duros. Martok had spent his younger days traveling with his family. His childhood was defined by a lack of home, a not unusual aspect for Duros but made more poignant by the complete lack of homeworld. Through the Empire's warmongering, the planet Duros was turned into a toxic cesspool. Martok, like many Duros, took to piloting and soon found his way into smuggling. Through a series of clandestine contracts, he became a frequent smuggler to the burgeoning First Order in the Unknown Regions. After learning who his clients were, he quietly GTFO of the Unknown Regions. His reputation tarnished, he found no more work and the New Repubilc would have none of him. He turned to the Resistance for a solid paycheck who didn't ask too many questions about his past.

Martok is the party's Ace and Pilot.

Unfortunatlely, I cannot find Le Gran's backstory at the moment. I do apologize, once I find it I shall update this post.

Le Gran We is the party's Diplomat, Quatermaster and Ambassador. He is also a Gran.

Sev's player only gave me a vague, word backstory where his wife died on Hoxnian Prime in Ep. 7 and he wants to kill General Hux. Not all my players are great with Backstories

Sev is the parties Commander and Tactician. He's a human.

There is one more party member, but she does not join till somewhat later in the game so her bio will come then. Also note that while I have Sev's bio up here, his player was absent for the first session so he didn't do much. Without further ado, the game begins!

Episode VII.I

Division

Fear holds the galaxy. After the return of the First Order and their destructive super weapon, STARKILER BASE, destroyed the New Republic Senate, the sovereign states of the galaxy scramble for peace.

Without the leadership of the Senate, the Galaxy is divided and fractured. The Wookie Senator Grashe'ek has set off to rally the few surviving senators and bring order back to the Republic.

Under the protection of the RESISTANCE'S best bodyguards, the Senator heads to the planet Toydaria in hopes of recruiting the Toydarian Senator Rostuna to her cause and start to bring order back to the galaxy...

Chapter 1: Alliance Reforged

Resistance Base on D'Qar
40 Standard Hours after the destruction of Starkiller Base
The celebrations were short. General Organa has stressed the importance of battle readiness during war. "One victory does not make us victors."

The General had been keeping everyone busy. Repairing what hardware the Resistance had left, organizing scouting parties, taking stock of the Galactic Climate. Le Gran We, Sev McKellian, Martok Chova, B.E.A.F. and Rex have been called to the General's office; top secret. It is small, modestly decorated. A lone cup of cold tea is the only clutter. The gathered men wait for only a few minutes before General Organa joins them. A Wookie accompanies her, wearing a purple velvet sash withe Senate Sigil.

"I have an important mission for you. This is Senator Grashe'ek of Kashyyyk. She has come to us out of desperation and fear. After the destruction of Hosnian Prime, the Senate has been reduced to a few living members and no meeting space. It is Senator Grashe'ek's hope to rally the remaining Senators, so that the New Repbulic can respond to the threat of the First Order as a unified Galaxy. From this point forward, you are her guard and entourage. Your task is to accompany her wherever a Senator maybe and ensure her saftey as well as those Senators who agree to uphold their position. Le Gran We notes a hint of derision in the General's tone. "This mission is top secret. The Senator's protection is your utmost priority, but remember. We are not the New Repbulic. You have no authority over her or any other Senator."

"Senator Grashe'ek's close friend and ally in the Senate, Senator Rotsuna of Toydaria has reached out to her. The Toydarian King, King Quatso, seeks audience with the Senator. You are her entourage. I won't tell you to be quiet... just don't screw things up. Toydaria's inclusion in the New Republic is not popular there and he may be caving to his citizen's requests." Sev, Martok and Le Gran accept their mission with a grime facade, but B.E.A.F. and Rex are more than joyous to get a chance to stretch their servos.

The Aspen: Sen. Grashe'ek's personal 'yacht'
Base model YT-13000 Light Frieghter

The party make's themselves comfortable on the freighter. Martok snoops in the cockpit but is shunned by the overly territorial Wookie pilots. B.E.A.F. finds that his lack of understanding Wookie limits his ability to converse with Wookie's and Rex is frustrated when Senator Grashe'ek shoos him away from the hyperdrive engine mid-lightspeed. Le Gran decided to converse with the gunner manning the ventral gun, a rather rotund Wookie by the name of Chitca. The two strike up a fast friendship, after Le Gran shares with him some Star-Snicker's candy bar.

Shortly, The Aspen drops out of Lightspeed, an ooze green orb snapping into view. The comm's blinks as the Toydarian's guide the pilot's to the surface. On approach, B.E.A.F. notices a massive super-cell storm that was heading towards their destination. The Aspen lands on a platform of a grandiose palace, perched ontop the only mountain visible for miles, overseeing a marsh-sea that extends to the horizon. They are greeted by two Toydarian's clad in lightweight armor and strange guns at low-ready. A third Toydarian appears at the entrance, garbed in a flowing purple and green dress. She cheerfully greets the party, and instructs the guards to stand down.

"Grashe'ek!! Your fur looks spectacular. Come, come. His Highness, King Quatso is eager to see you." Sen. Rotsuna introduces herself as she leads her guests through the royal palace. Le Gran notes that the path is circuitious, as the palace's design is built more for flight-capable Toydarian's than off-worlders. Periodically, they pass a guard posted at intersections. Most of the party tunes out Rotsuna and Grashe'ek's conversation but Le Gran keeps an ear open, being the only one who understands the Wookie.

He gleans that the local Toydarian's have lost faith in the New Repubilc after the destruction of Hosnian Prime. Combined with one of the periodic famine's that plague the planet and the Senate being unable to vote on a relief bill that was on the docket means that the common Toydarian is starving and blames the New Republic. Additionally, the Hutt's have been putting pressure on anyone trying to do trade with Toydaria and without the New Republic Navy to protect the planet, no private relief makes it to the surface. Rotsuna believes the Hutt's are trying to pressure Quatso to return to the Hutt Space as a servant state.

The party enters the throne room through two large double doors with intricate carvings of Toydarian Royal history. King Quatso sits high on a throne over looking a gorge, falling into the marsh-sea below. At Grashe'ek's direction, the party splits onto two circular platforms for audience members; Sev, Rex and Martok on the left and B.E.A.F., Sen. Grashe'ek and Le Gran on the right. King Quatso gives a disapproving gaze over the group before addressing Grashe'ek directly.

"Senator, I am glad you could see me in such short notice, considering. Unfortunately, I am afraid I will add insult to injury." The King pauses, letting his words sink in. "My people have called for us to leave the New Republic and I have to agree." Senator Grashe'ek roars in anger and frustration, pleading for the King to reconsider.

Rotsuna, who has taken her place next to her liege, speaks up. "Now, now, Grash. My Dear Quatso must do what is best for his people. We are in the middle of a famine. As you know, the Senate was set to vote on a relief bill in a Standard Week. Obviously that won't happen. We've head to resort to using the Hutt's 'help'."

"Their tumultous Council are bleeding us dry.! But, if we reurn as their vassal, they will 'grant competitive prices'." Quatso slams his fist down in frustration.

Le Gran steps forward, bowing respectfully before continuing. "Your highness, is there anything the Resistance can do to aide your people in the mean time? Our friend, Senator Grashe'ek, is on a personal mission to assemble the remnants of the Senate. Obviously, this task will take some time, but I assure you that once she has succeeded, the Senate will approve the relief bill in a heart beat."

The King ponders for a moment, before replying. "If you could provide my people with food. Though I doubt you could muster that much food without the Hutt's shooting you down. However... if you are willing, would you represent Toydaria infront of the Hutt Council? If time is what you ask, then time is what I require. If you can convince the Hutt's to relax their prices, even briefly, I assure my people that the New Republic will assist us in due time."

"I think-" THUD! "that can-" THUD! "be arranged?"
King Quatso slams his fists on his throne and bellows. " What in the world is that!?"

The audience room is quiet for a moment before a deafening clang bursts the silence. The double door's have been blown off their hinges, falling onto the floating platforms forming impromptu bridges. A tall, broad figure stands in the ruined doorframe. In one hand, he holds a large hammer, humming silently. The other, a royal guard, an oozing gooey mess where his head should be. His armor is covered in green/blue gore of the Toydarian guards, and a number of other mysterious viscera from who-knows whom. It takes two heavy steps into the throne room, tossing the carcass. It lands with a sickening plop, skidding off the edge. It hefts its hammer high, letting out a feral roar.

To be continued....

And that's the end of the first session. I'm sorry its a little stilted. I forgot to record the session and since it was the first session, it was a lot of exposition and setting up the game. Plus my players dutifully questioned no one and let NPC's converse amongst themselves mostly. I promise, the next sessions have more player dialogue and definitely more action. I hope everyone enjoys! Please don't post, so I can reserve another post (just in case).
