Summoner Questions

So I have a quick question for everyone regarding Summoner's and their Eidolons. I'm planning on doing a mounted combat option, now if my Eidolon has the feat Mounted Combat would that apply to me (The summoner) riding it? Or would i need to have the feat rather than my mount?

Your Eidolon would need the Mount evolution and you be able to benefit from having th mounted combat feat yourself. The feat specifically calls out "whenever your mount is hit in combat", so would be unusable by your Eidolon when it was acting as a mount.
