View Full Version : 3rd Ed Where should I look for if I wish to see the Tiers chart (if there is one)?

I've always been hearing people talking things like:
"Wizard and Cleric are most typical T1 classes"
"Fighter is merely a T4 class"
"No that is a T6 class so don't expect it to be powerful"

As if there is a generally accepted chart for classes' tiers.

Unfortunately, I've no idea how to dig earlier posts in this forum; there doesn't seem to be an obvious index for valuable threads, contents and/or topics that ever appeared or were discussed here in this forum.

So where should I look to if I wish to find this source of Tiers, or anything that seems to be worth reviewing?

Here's the tier system (http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=1002.0), why each class is in its tier (http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=5256.0), and, as a bonus, the tier system for PrC's (https://www.google.com/#q=tier+system+for+prestige+classes). Also, here's the niche ranking system (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?314701-Person_Man-s-Niche-Ranking-System), which is different but is useful and has its general similarities.

We could also show off some guides detailing what is, and isn't powerful to pick within classes. Wizard has a super high ceiling, but isn't nearly as strong if you don't know what makes a good spell or feat.
