2016 continues to rip our hearts out.
The great Gene Wilder has passed away. He was 83.
He co-starred in the funniest movie in the history of cinema, Blazing Saddles.
He brought more joy and laughter into my world than any other performer.
He is a legend whose work will live on forever.
Thank you Gene. You will be missed. Give my love to Gilda.

Sorry to hear that. He was really a great comedic actor.

My family and I have taken to watching Young Frankenstein every Halloween for the last few years, and we'll certainly remember him fondly.

One of the most powerful things I had ever seen as a kid was his role in The Little Prince. It has always stayed with me and got me really into the book.

Can I recommend a great Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor movie. It is called Silver Streak. It is a movie involving a train chase (the train is called Silver Streak). It is funny but the movie is full of "small person charm," it is a movie where someone that is a "small person" that gets swept up in a greater adventure. It is funny for Gene Wilder feels like a normal person, yet he is hilarious both in Gene Wilder acting / comedic ability but also the hilarity of the situation.

It is a movie that is one of those perfect type of netflix movie.

I want to say I'm upset about this, but having watched loved ones decay in place from Alzheimer's all I can say is that I'm glad he's at peace.

Oh man, great, who's going to be next? :smallfurious:
I'll admit to not knowing probably most of his work but I love the ones I know.

btw: Eff you, Alzheimer's disease. Stop killing the best of us.
