I got asked to run a one shot for one of my friends on his birthday and frankly every campaign I've run has been preplanned. A lot. I'm not really sure what I should do. Mr Birthday already had his character, a Human Archer who thinks himself a Sniper / Assassin.. The other players are still unsure what to scramble together. Any suggestions on what I should toss at them?
Edit; Current idea is have entire royal family of kingdom he resides in, be assassinated and have our archer PC be falsely implicated. Specifically one of the deceased kings 'advisors' has Underworld contacts and is able to dredge information out of the Assassins guild about the style of arrows used in the killing.
I figure putting them on the lam and having them fervently chase after someone with the sole goal of going murder hobo on them will be sufficient distraction across the entire kingdom, everyone will have their eyes out for him. This will distract from some other real goal which I have yet to come up with.
