In SoD, we learn that Roy's father became a ghost because the Blood Oath of Vengeance kept him out of the afterlife. Is the same thing going to happen to Roy? Are we going to see Roy as a ghost in the main comic appearing to Julia?

a) Roy is probably kept from the afterlife,
b) it is unlikely he appears to his sister, it is unlikely he wants her involved in this things. He probably gets resurrected. He is going to have a long (loud!) talk to his father about that stupid oath-thing of course (especially when he finds out how it was made).

An afterlife for Roy looks like a long shot at the moment. As noted, we are approaching the end of a book, which should mean Roy will be up and active soon too. And we also need to get everbody back together, tie up loose ends and get everybody on the road to the next story. That's a lot to put in a little space.
So neat ideas like an afterlife series have to be cut.

Lukan can at least cast Raise Dead. I am sure we'll see Roy soon enough.

Eugene had to manifest to his eldest child.... Roy might have to manifest to the missing third sibling (if he/she is still alive) rather than to Julia. This might be how he/she finally gets involved in the action.... alternatively, Roy's heir might be his own eldest child, if one happened to be made when he and Celia got together.
