So I am not sure what you mean by "official".

Some of it may depend on the question.

If someone were to ask me what the rules were I would say the PHB and it's published errata - DMG provides guidelines and suggestions and not rules (even this is blurred as the "rules" are just guidelines). By this I mean these are what I think it would be reasonable to expect someone playing a game they call 5e to be playing by. Optional rules like climbing on other creatures or spell points variant in the DMG would be things that might happen, but I wouldn't expect to be available by default.

On the other hand if you are asking what products are published for D&D 5e then you have the list that you have. In addition they also publish user generated content through the DM guild, which is a much bigger pool.

If we were to know why, we might be able to use the best definition to help you.

With official, i mean all the NON homebrew stuff.

I just want to know where I can get information out of without thinking its not tested enough / is homebrew.

Just watched the PAX West 2016 Acquisitions Incorporated game on the big screen and got the Cloud Giant's Bargain adventure (http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/142108598810?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_noapp=true). It says that it is fully Adventurer's League legal, so I'm thinking should be under a "Promotional" category.

Do you think this should be an extra part in my index?Yes i think so since it's as official as it can be being published by the producer of the game directly. It might be experimental material for playtest purposes but that doesn't make them less official 5E WoTC D&D material.
