Wax

Many a being, often those of wealth or influence, have wished for another to act as a decoy to draw the attention of others while they go about other tasks. Illusions however can only go so far and are pierced by many a spell. Such came about creatures sculpted of wax with fantastic detail, fashioned for the sole purpose of duplicating a specific being.

Whether at the request of the original, or to replace the original, they have become a blessing to some and a grave nuisance to others. Some are even sent to assassinate the original and take his place, fooling those about him long enough to dispose of the original and cover any tracks.

This wonderously beautiful creature appears much as any standard nymph, though upon close examination its features appear just slightly too-reflective and rigid.

A wax nymph speaks Sylvan and Common.

Combat
A wax nymph will attack only if specified to by its maker, following whatever commands given it.

Glibness (Sp): Though mindless, a wax nymph is able to fool even the closest friends of the base creature with its magically produced personality. It is considered to be continuously under the affects of the glibness spell.

Improved Grab (Ex): To use this ability, a wax creature must hit with a slam attack. It can then attempt to start a grapple as a free action without provoking an attack of opportunity. As this is done by the wax creature momentarily allowing part of its wax to liquify, anyone who witnesses a wax creature using this ability may become suspicious that it is something other than the base creature.

Misaligned (Su): A wax nymph's alignment, though true neutral always, appears to a Detect Alignment spell as Neutral Good.

Scultped Features (Ex): A wax nymph gains a +10 bonus to Disguise checks to appear as the creature it was molded after. This is how the creature truley appears and even spells such as True Seeing are ineffective.

Vulnerability to Fire: A wax creature takes half again as much (+50%) damage as normal from fire, regardless of whether a saving throw is allowed, or if the save is a success or failure.

Creating a Wax Creature
Wax is an inherited template that can be added to any corporeal creature, hereafter referred to as the base creature.

Size and Type: The creature's type changes to construct. It loses all previous subtypes and does not gain the augmented subtype. It uses all the base creature's statistics and special abilities except as noted here. Recalculate base attack bonus, saving throws, feats, and skills as described below.
Hit Dice: Drop any Hit Dice gained from class levels (to a minimum of 1 Hit Die) and change remaining Hit Dice to d10's. As a construct, the creature loses any bonus hit points for a high Constitution, but gains bonus hit points based on its size, as shown below:

Size Bonus Hit Points
Small 10
Medium 20
Large 30
Huge 40
Gargantuan 60
Colossal 80

Speed: The creature loses all modes of movement besides climbing and its land speed.
Armor Class: The creature loses all armor bonuses of the base creature (aside from dexterity) and gains a +4 natural armor bonus.
Base Attack: The creature's base attack bonuses change to its Hit dice x 3/4, as a cleric.
Attack: A wax creature retains all the natural attacks and weapon proficiencies of the base creature, though natural attacks are reduced by one level. For instance a claw attack dealing 1d6 would now deal 1d4. A wax creature based on a creature that has no natural attacks gains a slam attack as shown below, which it can use in place of a manufactured weapon. (A wax creature with two slams can wield a weapon in one hand and make a slam attack with its off-hand at a -5 penalty, adding half its Strength bonus to the damage roll).

Size Attack
Tiny 1 slam (1d2 plus strength bonus)
Small 1 slam (1d3 plus strength bonus)
Medium 1 slam (1d4 plus strength bonus)
Large 2 slams (1d6 plus half strength bonus)
Huge 2 slams (2d6 plus half strength bonus)
Gargantuan 2 slams (3d6 plus half strength bonus)
Colossal 2 slams (4d6 plus half strength bonus)

Special Attacks: A wax creature loses all the supernatural special attacks, spell-like abilities, and extraordinary special attacks allowing a saving throw based on Constitution. It retains extraoridnary special attacks that do not permit a saving throw (such as rake, rend, or constrict) or that allow a saving throw based on Strength (such as trample). In addition, a wax creatue gains the following special attacks.

Extended Reach (Ex): A wax creature may semi-liquify its limbs to stretch to a greater distance as a free action. This new reach depends on the creature's size as follows.

Size Reach
Tiny 5 ft.
Small 10 ft.
Medium 10 ft.
Large 15 ft.
Huge 25 ft.
Gargantuan 30 ft.
Colossal 40 ft.

As this is done by the wax creature momentarily allowing part of its wax to liquify, anyone who witnesses a wax creature using this ability may become suspicious that it is something other than the base creature.

Improved Grab (Ex): To use this ability, a wax creature must hit with a natural attack. It can then attempt to start a grapple as a free action without provoking an attack of opportunity. As this is done by the wax creature momentarily allowing part of its wax to liquify and wrap about its opponent, anyone who witnesses a wax creature using this ability may become suspicious that it is something other than the base creature.

Special Qualities: A wax creature loses all special qualities of the base creature, but gains the special qualities listed below.

Construct Traits: A wax creature has immunity to poison, sleep effects, paralysis, stunning, disease, death effects, necromancy effects, mind-affecting effects (charms, compulsions, phantasms, patterns, and morale effects), and any effect that requires a Fortitude save unless it also works on objects or is harmless. It is not subject to critical hits, nonlethal damage, ability damage, ability drain, fatigue, exhaustion, or energy drain. It cannot heal damage, but it can be repaired. It has darkvision out fo 60 feet and low-light vision.

Glibness (Sp): Though mindless, a wax creature is able to fool even the closest friends of the base creature with its magically produced personality. It is considered to be continuously under the affects of the glibness spell.

Misaligned (Su): A wax creature's alignment, though true neutral always, appears to a Detect Alignment spell as having the alignment of the base creature.

Scultped Features (Ex): A wax creature gains a +10 bonus to Disguise checks to appear as the creature it was molded after. This is how the creature truley appears and even spells such as True Seeing are ineffective.

Vulnerability to Fire: A wax creature takes half again as much (+50%) damage as normal from fire, regardless of whether a saving throw is allowed, or if the save is a success or failure.

Saves: Recalculate a wax creature's saving throws. The wax creature's base save throws are Fort 1/3 HD, Ref 1/3 HD, and Will 1/3 HD.
Abilities: Modify the base creature's ability scores as follows: Strength +2. A wax creature has no Constitution or Intelligence score. Change its Wisdom score to 11.
Skills and Feats: A wax creature loses all non Charisma-based skill points and feats.
Enviroment: Any
Organization: None
Challenge Rating: As base creature minus any class levels lost.
Treasure: None
Alignment: Always neutral
Advancement: -
Level Adjustment: -

Constructing A Wax Creature

The wax creature's creator must have the Craft Construct feat and be able to cast Glibness and Tongues. The wax creature's body must be built from the finest wax weighing roughly the same as the base creature, along with some article of the base creature, such as a hair, tooth or nail, special oils and softeners, and requires a DC 20 (scultping) check. The base creature must be present for observation during this scultping, in person or by a perfect illusion, or observed for at least a number of hours per day equal to its charisma modifier (minimum 1) for a week. Once crafted and animated, the wax creature it must be able to hear the base creature speak, whether in person or by a high-quality recording.

The cost of the wax creature's body depends on its size:

Size Cost
Tiny 250 gp
Small 500 gp
Medium 1,000 gp
Large 2,000 gp
Huge 5,000 gp
Gargantuan 10,000 gp
Colossal 25,000 gp

The market price is 3,000 gp per Hit Die of the wax creature, plus the cost of its body. The cost to create is equal to half of its market price and 1/25 the item’s market price in XP. The minimum caster level to create a wax creature is equal to its Hit Dice.
For example, the sample medium wax creature mentioned above with 7 Hit Dice has a market price of 22,000 gp, and requires 880 XP to create. The cost to create is 11,000 gp, and the caster must be at least 7th level.

So what is the reach for diminutive and fine wax creatures? and these are evil... as to be expected from you.

They have no extra reach. Too small to make a difference even if they can reach out a lot longer.

The next size smaller could do 1 point of damage... that is the next size smaller.
