Elven paladin/Ranger - Unicorn mount?

Greetings, I am currently working on a Half-Dragon Elf Paladin/Ranger and im wondering whether taking the unicorn instead of a normal Paladin mount is worth it?

Unicorns can talk, they constantly radiate a magic circle against evil, they can heal, including neutralizing poison.
Your other option is a shiny horse.

I would take the unicorn.
