Hey all,

Short of DM fiat or home-brewing, are there any RAW options for changing out spells on a Domain spell list?

I vaguely remember some mention of a Dragon Magazine feat or similar which did this. Non-dragon options would be preferred, but Dragon will be considered.

No PF please.

I don't have any specific spells in mind, just generally looking for options for tinkering with what spells appear on a Domain list.

Cheers - T

The feat you're thinking of is Customize Domain, from Dragon #325.

I don't know of any other ways to customize a domain.

Fair enough, that's pretty much what I was expecting.

Shame that feat wasn't among the ones "officialized" in the Dragon Compendium.

The substitute domain spell (Complete Champion) lets you switch to a different domain, so long as it's within your deity's portfolio. And while some deities have really lousy domains to choose from, there are a few with pretty big portfolios:

Olympic Pantheon (Deities & Demigods p. 100)
Pharaonic Pantheon (Deities & Demigods p. 137)
Asgardian Pantheon (Deities & Demigods p. 167)
Taiia (Deities & Demigods p. 203)
Sertrous (Elder Evils p. 116)
Sovereign Host (Faiths of Eberron p. 149)
Dark Six (Faiths of Eberron p. 149)

Planar Touchstone linked to the Catalogues of Enlightenment gives you access to a domain power, and the higher-order ability lets you cast a spell from that domain.

Domain Draughts (3300 GP, MIC) can also be used to add a domain for 24 hours.
