Friend is running Return to the Temple of Elemental evil and as of now the game is being played at a medium-low char op level. The players include myself (Somewhat experienced with the 3.5 system with making good characters, most of my experience though is with Initiator classes), my roommate who is playing a VOP Druid20//Wild Shaping Ranger build (The only other experienced 3.5 player in the group, he's using the low op game to get away with playing a VoP character while also hoping to at some point being able to turn into a Cryo Hydra so he can spam use Touch of Golden Ice); and then we have the other two players who are relatively new to 3.5.

First player is currently playing a Wizard5/Arcane Archer10/Wizard5//Fighter20 (DM made a feat for him that allows the player to imbue his arrows with conjuration spells, only recently realized that the character is now able to place Summon Monster Spells anywhere on the map essentially, player himself was wanting to specialize in summoning so he's building towards that.)

Second player is a Archivist20//Rogue5/Skullclan Hunter 10/X (Player is currently not sure what they actually want to do with said character aside from the skill monkey side of things. They rolled pretty poorly on their stats aside from having an 18 Int, as of now they had been doing melee but because of their lower than normal AC and health (18 AC at level 7 with +1 chain shirt) they have been considering recently about switching over to ranged combat spells, combat buffing, or possibly also being a conjuration specialist since they have potential access to all the SNA amazing feats.

For my side of things, I've mostly been playing either melee beat sticks recently or melee sneak attackers that can potentially one shot people if I ever catch them flat footed, so for a change of pace I wanted to do something more melee control oriented. Since we have the two newbies in the group as well, I wanted to avoid doing anything that could potentially step on their schtick for the group dynamics as well, so I wanted to avoid using divine or arcane spell casting if possible. Finally since its low op and when the dm had me roll my stats I ended with a freaking amazing spread, I figured I'd try to do something with monk on one side of my build since I'm using Feat Rogue2/Sword Sage 18 on my other side for my actual main focus on combat. The first thing I've focused on and have pretty much nailed is being able to reliably trip most things we'll encounter in the campaign (Dm is only planning for us to go to level 14, we're currently level 7, and I count as a large creature with a trip bonus of +16 normally, or +24 if I use a setting sun maneuver.) Since I finished that I figured I'd try to have some fun with Stunning fist since for the moment about 2/3rds of the baddies we've been facing have been things that could be stunned with stunning fist, and for the rest that can't I have decisive strike and swordsage maneuvers I can use to fall back on. Finally, DM has ruled that any feat which uses a stunning fist use and causes a save effect shares the base save for stunning fist, so for things such as Rattle Snake Strike or Freezing the Lifeblood, at level 7 my save dc is 23 through use of high wis score, ki straps, and a feat. Wis score is currently 22 and I have not encountered any Wis enhancement items yet so my score will be increasing up to 30 by the time we hit level 14 (+6 enhancement bonus plus +1 at level 8 and 12.)

Monk side of the character is currently Monk6/Shiba Protector 1 (For Wis to hit and Damage); aside from that I don't really know what some other good options to look at prc wise could be, if possible I'd like for something that could either a give me bonus feats, B increase monk movement speed since I use a lot of standard action strikes, or C possibly give more uses per day of Stunning Fist. Alignement Wise I am lawful neutral currently, and setting wise we are in Grey Hawk, any official 1st party material or dragon magazine is open for use, homebrew is generally not allowed unless it is considered extremely ballanced and then only rarely with DM approval. Finally DM does not like pathfinder so nothing allowed from there. Potential things I've been currently looking at include Snake or Panther Shen, Acolyte of the Fist, and Red Avenger

That's pretty much it, looking for anything fun or flavorful as recommendations to use for the character idea.
