I'm working on a Wizard cohort to be partnered with one of my characters once he reaches 9th level.

The character in question is a Half-Red Dragon Lesser Azer-Blood, Binder 9 who's primary form of combat is using natural attacks (2 claws, bite, tail slap)

(Azerbloods are in Dragon #350, but its basically a planetouched thats Dwarf and Azer)

For my Cohort I have started with a Lesser
Azer-blood
Wizard 6/Wyrm Wizard 1, Conjuration Specialist: Banning enchantment and illusion, with the Immediate Magic variant, for 10ft teleports.

I am mostly going for someone who can provide my character some support via buffs+control, out of combat utility, and an occasional fireball to annihilate some mooks.

My spell list so far without adding anything other than just via level ups looks like this:

Level 1
Ray of Enfeeblement, Alarm, Shield, Hoard Gullet, Identify, Mount, Obscuring Mist, Mage Armor,
Magic Missile

Level 2
Rope Trick, Resist Energy, Web, Locate Object

Level 3
Greater Mighty Wallop, Fly, Summon Monster 3, Fireball

Level 4
Dimension Door, Heart of Earth

I plan to pick up Greater Magic Fang as one of my off-list Wrym Wizard spells, but am not sure about other choices. Will probably pick things that my binder cannot duplicate using the SLAs of monsters summoned by the Summon Monster vestige.

Feat Wise I have: Silent Spell, Alacritious Cogitation, Spell Mastery, and Uncanny Forethought, for improving my spells and giving me on the fly versatility, I also took Endurance and Steadfast Determination for funzies because he has an 18 con and an 8 Wisdom ha.

Backstory for the main character is that he is the last descendant of the ruling family of an ancient Dwarven kingdom that collapsed thousands of years earlier for reasons partially lost to antiquity, culture of said kingdom is based loosely on some ideas taken from the Roman Empire and was also known for allying with Dragons.
Particularly Silver and when able Red Dragons. The royal family was particularly known for making pacts with Red Dragons. (Empire was give or take LN)

Said character's longterm goal is re-discovering the ruins of long lost dwarven cities, as well as reestablishing the kingdom, and drawing back the scattered ancestors of his people.

The wizard cohort happens to be one of these ancestors and will aid in this mission.

Both characters are True N with a slight bend toward LN. They are focused on their goal and are willing to use less than savory methods to accomplish it if they have to.

Basically anything Dwarven or Dragon themed is good stuff.

Rope Trick, Fireball, Fly, and Ray of Enfeeblement are my Spell Mastery Choices if that matters. Spontaneous Divination is also probably a no go for this character.
