EK 8/Mystic 8/??? 4 [Archive] - Giant in the Playground Forums

I'm thinking about a multiclass build with Eldritch knight and mystic from unearthed arcana (https://dnd.wizards.com/sites/default/files/media/upload/articles/Psionics.pdf).

If I take 8 levels in both classes, what should I do with the last 4 levels? Add another class (or more), split between EK and/or Mystic?
Also, what order would you take the levels?

To clarify, I'm kinda thinking about a tank build, but I'm interesting in knowing any other builds you can suggest.

Since Psionics takes up your concentration you may want to consider a different archtype for fighter.

I would suggest maybe bear totem barbarian3/order of the immortal X.
If you have your heart set on EK I would say go EK 7 or 11 /order of the immortal X.

Both of those should be decently tanky, for EK you should grab shield and absorb element and I would recommend choosing a psionic discipline other than iron durability.
