A War of Three Kingdoms (Nina, Blue)

You wake in your resplendent stronghold, with a buxom dwarf keeping you company.
Prying yourself from that especially pillowy feather bed, you manage to take a glance at your desk, and check into affairs of state.

Your province's final stats are as follows:

You have three letters on your dresser, one from your scoutmaster, another from the guard captain, and a third from your treasurer.

Your scoutmaster reports no activity from your enemies. "We are far enough removed and inaccessable by foot that any attempt would require the most dedicated and well paid of spies. No enemy troop movement near or within our borders."

Your guard captain details "We have only one unit of Sorceresses. They are a hundred strong, and untested. I cannot advise fielding them in combat."

Your treasurer has better news. "We have received the monthly tithe of eight hundred, thirty three gold, three silver and three copper. Further, a loan we had been maintaining has paid out, increasing the treasury by seventy five hundred gold pieces."

You have no meetings or scheduled events. Noting this, you retire to the bedroom for now, to enjoy the morning properly.

Nina writes smoothly three letters back.

"Makes sense the only way you'd get a land army here is by going through the fellow provinces." She writes back to the scoutmaster. "Have their been any reports about ships flying enemy flags, or unknown flags."

To the guard captain she writes back. "Understood. I want you to divide up the sorceresses into three groups. the first group those that can craft scrolls, or if we're lucky other magical items. The second group those that can cast any long term enchantments. Those if any exist are to be assigned each to a our best battalion of soldiers. Encourage them to form bonds with the soldiers to improve morale. The third group are those that can do neither of those things. Out of that last group, send the prettiest and the bustiest to the capital, to um... advise me on the rewards this will bring." Nina replies sealing the document with a pink kiss.

"Understood. All is well. Are their any loans that are currently taking a long time to pay off?" Nina asked also sealing this document with a pink kiss.

After all this, and with a casting of prestidigitation she cleans herself off before sending their letter on the way.

"Snookums. It's time to wait up." Nina pressed her dwarven companion rubbing her shoulder gently.

Your missive goes out, and by the end of the day you get one back.
"Most of the sorceresses cannot craft. There is a third that CAN craft scrolls, but that is the limits of their ability, and they're saying something about magical essence needed to scribe."

"No reports of enemy ships or unusual flags. We did spot one ship coming northward from the southwest, but they're flying the flag of the Free City. Probably a diplomatic envoy."

Your Dwarven bodyguard wakes up and stretches, doing wonderful things for your viewing pleasure. "What are we doing today, my lady?"

"About how long should it be until it gets here, assuming that's where it's headed?" Nina sent back.

"Have the ones that can craft start going with soldiers that practice wilderness survival. Encourage them to help in hunting, that should sate the magical essence they need." Nina replies to the guard captain.


Nina's eyes quickly re adjust their focus. "Same thing we do every day, making Brightdale a more prosperous place for the people." She starts before kissing her companion. "And having a little fun on the way, shall we join the princess for breakfest?" She asks.

[Acanous]

"At your leave, milady." Your Dwarf monk follows you, to your dining hall. The princess is already there, eating with quiet dignity.

"It will be here by the end of the month."
Your Sorceresses ARE your standing army. You're having them escort each other.

"Morning hun." Nina says scooping her little halfling princess into her lap. "How was your sleep?" She replies wrapping an arm around her waist.


"Understood. Keep me informed."

"Start recruitment on a larger defense force. Use the sorceresses as propaganda." Nina tells the captain.

[Acanous]

She yawns and cuddles into you. "I slept well, thanks. What are we doing today?"

You can devote some of your production to recruitment, or alternatively spend gold. It's not cheap for a hundred fighting PC classed NPCs, roughly 15k for 100 of them, with a 6k upkeep monthly.

Besides keeping you out of controlling hands? Nina teased her eyes wandering downward.

"No hands? Well that'll be interesting. It's the eyes that I usually worry about." She pokes your nose.

I'm just enjoying the view. Nina says poking her bust in response.

the princess giggles, and presses closer. "You could use your whole hand, you know."

That is all the invitation Nina needs.

Which one of you wants to feed me? She grins opening her mouth.

"I shall, milady." Your dwarven monk/pillow steps up, and begins peeling you grapes and hand-feeding you. Your princess cohort pouts a little, then gets the idea to fetch strawberries and cream.

I could get used to this. Nina replies as both girls fight for feeding privileges.

[Acanous]

The girls feed you as you languish. You have plenty of time to get anything you'd like done, including checking on other lords, starting projects, dispatching scouts or missives, or trying to find things.

Greeting them all with kisses on the cheek that were swiftly becoming standard, Nina went up to the throne.

I have decided to send a voyage to the eastern mountains behind the sea. To see what riches await. Nina starts.

I would rather not do this alone, instead I would much rather get aid from the noble houses in exchange for land on the island.

At the moment I can offer the standard advice for engaging a desert war. Keep your troops hydrated. Capture, don't kill priests, and try to take and hold oasis's.

Without someway of transporting quicker, it would take any troops 2 months to get there. By then the war could well be decided.

"One is a changeling, milady. It's hard to tell. The other two are female and reasonably attractive."

The Female Human Scout is brought to you. She is wearing soft leathers and unarmed, though from her attire you can assume she uses a bow.
She is half-elven with chestnut hair and green eyes. She bows to you when introduced.

Nina's pupils dilate when she the scout, stepping down from her throne to walk up to the girl.

Kissing her flat on the lips in a long kiss, she then smiles at the girl.

Maids fetch her something more comfortable. She orders a pair of them.

The scout looks shocked. "W-what? This isn't what I was expecting."

What were you expecting? Nina replies cocking her head. It's culture here for people to be affectionate.

Did you really think I'd be different just because I have a throne? I still respect culture. Nina says.

"Your guards apprehended me and brought me here on suspicion of sedition. That's... not the welcome I thought I'd get."

[Illven]

Well I was told you were reasonably attractive, I didn't expect such a sexy scout, if you'll pardon the alliteration. Nina replied.

At the maid's return, Nina grins. Ah, fabulous. Please change, get comfy. Then we can talk about who sent you, and why?

She takes the...clothing and goes to get changed.
Upon returning, looking morbidly embarrassed, she sits at the long table.
"What is it you want to know again?"

Nina gives the scout another kiss.

"Admaya Payra, and I'm really not supposed to say."
She seems uncertain. You may be able to get her to talk VIA Diplomacy, Intimidate, or by other means.

I won't be upset with you, no matter what you say. Nina says touching her face to get her to meet her in the eyes.

Nina starts plucking at a vine of grapes, offering Admaya a few.

Admaya. Nina pouts. I just told you what women do in this country when they meet. She replies.

Give her a welcome kiss. She orders.

She looks like a deer in the headlights but after stammering for a minute she leans over to kiss your cohort.

One would say, that my land is the more proper one. Nina joked with a giggle. What's Petrus like as a ruler?

Aw. That's sweet. Nina replies sincerely. Throwing an arm around Admaya's waist.

Shall we take a walk in the guardian, and talk more about matters of import? She suggests.

"sure." She looks relieved to get outside.
