In Classic Horrors Revisited there's a Crystal Chakram weapon. It breaks upon use, but does not omit being usable as a melee weapon as it is supposed to be similar to a regular chakram. But at the end of it's descriptor it includes "A crystal chakram is treated as ammunition for the purpose of creating magic weapons."
So I was just curious about item enhancement as it relates to this. Could I buy just 1, put a lot of passive enchants on for a fraction of the cost and off hand it like a trinket? Since it does qualify as a melee weapon.
My only concern would be some RAW entry that state that I have to buy it in a lot of 50. But even then, I could sell the other 49 at half the price and still recoup a bunch of money.
Any clarification RAW would be helpful. I'm not looking for house rulings as the community I play is only really cares about RAW. Thanks much.
