What would a character do if he had 3/day uses of Polymorph? Probably a lot of things covered in various handbook. But here is the twist: This Polymorph has a duration of Instantaneous.

What interesting abilities would this open up? What would happen to a CW Samurai who gains this ability Tier-wise? And yes, Assume Supernatural Ability is on the table.

And yes, Assume Supernatural Ability is on the table.The same kinds of things that a character with a psychoactive skin of proteus would do (though the skin is far, far more powerful, and that's not even including the fact that it's "at will;" metamorphosis is just that much better).

Polymorph grants some self-healing, and gives the caster a ton of flexibility on what he can do. It lets you have variable types and subtypes and the immunities and traits they entail, grants the ability to fly, swim, and burrow, gives you the option of sneaking around, grants interesting skill bonuses, massively improves one's existing skills, and allows you to basically fill any party role you want more effectively.

Instantaneous? Disk Giant for it's Cannibalize (normally limited in potency by duration of whatever you use to turn into it) to gain a bunch of RHD would let you do all sorts of fun early entry tricks (once you turn into another form, losing the RHD, of course). Typical day of adventuring should produce enough corpses to make it not a painfully slow progression.
