View Full Version : Looking for an old article on RPing, the joy of losing, and Monopoly

So there was an amazing article about someone playing Monopoly, and losing badly, and turning it to roleplaying game (along the lines of "Nooooo!" I say to the banker, "you heartless bastard, will you let me STARVE???"), and ending up having heaps of fun regardless. It went on to say how "losing" can be a good thing in RPGs, and more stuff about roleplaying in general. It was glorious.

I'm absolutely sure that I found the article through these forums, and I believe it came up in a discussion about the GNS theory. But it was a long time ago, I can't find the link, oh, and please take the above description with a grain of salt, because my memory really sucks.

Can anyone help me find this article again? I would be eternally grateful. :)

Oops, found it (http://ptgptb.org/0016/monopoly.html), never mind then.

Thanks for sharing it, though. The thread is still meaningful!
