Ok, this should be fast:
The description of the spell storing weapon property specifics that the weapon must deal damage to allow the discharge of the stored spell. So...
1) Is it generally accepted that the damage has to be from the weapon itself (not from, say, a touch poison on the blade or a duskblade spell channeled through it)?
2) Could you say that this mechanic is in all regards identical to that of sneak attack (no wpn dmg, no SA dmg)?
3) Since I saw sometimes the lasso being referred to as a good spell storing weapon, do I have to assume they were oblivious of the rules/high when they wrote such things or is there a way to do actual damage with it (like by grappling and strangling with it)?
Many thanks in advance!
