Warmage taking the elemental substitution metamagic feats so that he can turn any of this <element> spells into the type he wanted. DM is willingly to do Raging Inferno onto the list. My question is, how to get Creaking Cacophony on the warmage since it is normally a bard / druid spell. Reason being different elements of vulnerability.

2 options spring to mind: The extra spell feat, or that advanced learning ACF that lets you pick a broader range of spells provided it's from a lower level.

you are referring to PHB2's eclecting learning acf that helps out with your advanced learning. unfortunately, it only lets you grab wizard spells, which creaking cacophony is not.

extra spell only lets you pick a spell you could normally learn so also doesn't help with this.

is there a reason you need this as a spell known? there's no save and it doesn't scale. just grab UMD and put it in a runestaff with some other sonic-related spells that aren't on your list, or just use a wand.

Take Arcane Preparation, enter Wyrm Wizard, take two levels for an extra spell known?

There a prestige class that advances spontaneous while giving prepared casting. Kinda like taking a level of wizard, but lets you start preparing spells while advancing spontaneous.

are you talking about ultimate magus?

No. Essentially a spontaneous caster class that through dipping into 1 level into a prestige class, can effectively gain the effect of the Arcane preparation feat ( without dipping into somehting like wizard ) while still progressing the spontaneous spellcasting.
