Hey there, I am rolling up a level 7 NPC that is a human warmage/blue dragon disciple.

Does anyone have suggestions for WBL gear, feats, etc?

You probably aren't looking to hear "don't use these classes", so I won't say that. But that's unusual combination you've got there. Warmage is a blaster class and Dragon Disciple's abilities improve mostly melee. What you are planning to do with the NPC?

You have at least 5 caster levels, so you're mainly a caster and will remain one for a long time. NPC Gear at level 7 is 7,200 gp, so maybe stuff like amulet of health or cloak of resistance if you plan on using this npc for more then one battle. Lesser Metamagic Rod of Empower if you plan to sick him on PC's.

Yeah, I know it's a meagre PrC and it is a weird choice of build but I always let style trump RAW and anyone who plays to "win" in my games usually doesn't stay long.
Thanks for suggestions.

Warmage and Dragon Disciple pull the character in opposite directions. On an NPC, they'd be considered nonassociated class levels, and the Dragon Disciple levels would only be worth half of the normal CR increase for advancing by class.

What are you going for, exactly?

Essentially he just a minion for an BBEG with an overarching draconian theme.

A blaster elite mook with a bit more resilience who looks cool.

Check out the Dragonfire Adept (Dragon Magic). Breath weapon usable 1/round (with a Constitution-based DC, so they'll have plenty of hit points), a selection of neat dragon-themed SLAs, and all of their abilities are usable at-will so you don't have to bother with tracking spell slots.

If you're set on Warmage/DD, my first piece of advice would be make sure you take 6 levels of Warmage, for 3rd level spells. You can potentially get 4ths, if you allow Versatile Spellcaster.

Got one. Going for a diverse Quirky Miniboss Squad.

A Half-Dragon Warmage would be more effective than a Warmage/DD.

Agreed, for an NPC, it makes more sense to just use the template.
