So what do you think would be the effect or feeling if say...

1) a wizard who is carrying a few bag of holdings uses a teleport? (this is kind of mild. I don't think there would be much effect but wouldn't they feel at least some echo or something like wind drag similar to someone like trying to hold a bucket against the water in a speedboat?)

2) Wizard puts a bag of holding within another bag of holding? Any effect? Is there a dangerous effect?

3) Wizard puts live animals in bag of holding with no protection from space or protect life enchants on it? (His favorite prize winning chickens to go to the fair.)

4) Wizard puts stasis chamber with adequate protections in a bag of holding? ( with this one there shouldn't be any effect... but curious on opinion and confirmation. )

5) What happens in a wizard duel with a mage purposefully attacks another mage's bag of holding? (explosion? fire like gasoline being ignited or wild surge effect maybe?)

6) What about a 2 way bag of holding? One mage in one city is filling supplies in one end...and another mage in another city of fortress at a front line is pulling stuff out the other end (food supplies for troops?) Is an enchant like this already in place or spell created in game?

7) Any other effects on dimensional pockets, bags of holding, etc. when passing through gates?

8) is aging of stuff like food in dimensional pockets, bags of holding stopped entirely or only slowed down?

9) One of the mage PCs in your group decides to force bringing 1 more person beyond his limit in teleport...what kind of effect occurs? Death? He gets cut in half? Everyone takes damage? Missing limbs or dismemberment?

In 3E?

1) No mechanical effect; I don't see anything wrong with having a different feeling from it though.
2) Technically, you can put BoH inside each-other, and the same with Portable Holes - it's only when you mix the two that bad things happen. Some people houserule otherwise, in which case it might cause a similar effect (temporary rip into the Astral plane). You should warn players if you go that way.
3) There's a limited amount of fresh air there - I think ten minutes worth for a human, so maybe a few hours for a chicken? But if it's in there long enough it'll die. It's not a vacuum though, just that the air gets stale.
4) No special effect.
5) If the bag is destroyed, the contents are "lost forever". Some people rule this as the contents being scattered randomly across the Astral Plane, but it doesn't really say.
6) Sounds like a Ring Gate. If you want to transmit more than the normal limit, you can put the things inside a Portable Hole, and pass that (weighing almost nothing) through.
7) Nope.
8) Not even slowed down. A Glove of Storing does put things in stasis, but that's a whole different type of storage - it shrinks stuff down into the glove itself rather than having an extradimensional space.
9) Somebody would get left behind. Technically, the caster has to pick, but if they wanted to leave it up to the "passengers" I'd say that everyone makes a Will save and the lowest result is the one left behind. However, if someone volunteers to die, and their corpse is light enough for one of the other people to carry, you could get everyone teleported that way.

1. Nothing mechanically.
2.Nope.
3.It has breathable air, so they should be fine. However, it has a finite amount of breathable air, so time is limited. Stick a Bottle of Air in there, and you're good forever, though. the inside of the bag isn't a vacuum, so no precaution beyond making sure you can breathe is needed.
4.Nothing special.
5. based on it's mention of what piercing it does, all it's contents would be lost forever.
6. Ring Gates are pretty much exactly for this purpose.
7. Nope.
8. It's entirely uneffected. Time passes inside the Bag normally.
9. They can't even try, so this question is invalid. You can't try and bring any more than your limit of people when you teleport any more than you can Charm more than one person with a single casting of Charm Person.
