First things first: If you know what I mean by a Borrowing Vampire's Luck Sac or Captain Mario Lopez, go away. You're unloved.

A little background:

In two weeks, five hundred human and hobgoblin troops will try to take a fortress on one side of a river to secure the bridge across said river. The fortress, currently held by the Elves, houses about 300 orc soldiers, 30 ogres, 5 trolls, 1 wyvern, 20 goblin slaves, 6 human slaves, 3 Elven spellcasters, and 1 Elven paladin. Most of the troops and slaves have been mind controlled/tortured/brainwashed into being fanatical followers of the Elves.

The party, a group of three 6th level humans/goblins/hobgoblins needs to provide the troops access to the fortress and sabotage everything they can while not dying.

Help me design the fortress and the encounters! What defenses does the fortress need? What traps should I place there? What should the layout of the fortress be like? What should I keep in mind?

Edit: Pathfinder, Dreamscarred Press, and most 3.5 is acceptable.
