View Full Version : Optimization Optimizing the Oathbreaker

If you were to optimize a single-classed, STR-based Oathbreaker, how would you do it? Capping at level 15.

By optimization, I mean either the greatest damage, or the greatest resilience, or both.

I'd go oathbreaker 10 abjuration wizard 5, you get some great necromancy, flight, invisiblity, and counter spell. Heavy armor raises your AC and with the warcaster feat you can also duel wield shields or go sword and board. If you can spare a feat get inspiring leadership or GWM

Agreed. TL;DR: take polearm master as Vuman 1, max out str, up CHA at 12. Damage output looks something like 2d10+3d8+1d4+27, before even casting any spells.
