View Full Version : PEACH Exchange II - I summon PEACH, in attack mode!

This was the former peach exchange: http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?263949-PEACH-Exchange/page16

I am not allowed to necro it without permission, but I can post a new one and link to the old one. Not sure if I'm supposed to put the II on the thread if the last one didn't get to the 50 page limit (not even close). Below are the rules from the old thread.

Use this thread to do one of three things:

Post links to one or more of your homebrew that you would like PEACHed.
Offer to PEACH a piece of homebrew someone has already posted in exchange for PEACHing a piece of your own homebrew.
Agree to or decline an offer of PEACH exchange.

I have one addendum to that list: Put the game and edition along with your links so that people can easily discern whether they have the system knowledge necessary to review something.

For my tribute to summon PEACH, I offer up my mighty: Focused Champion. (Thanks for the reviews)

I have many that I'd like to put forward, and I make this solemn pledge that I will do my best to peer review all 5th Edition content that is put forward here to the best of my ability.

I have to decline the offer to PEACH the Focused Champion critically as I am not well enough versed in 3.5

I will say that I highly enjoy the fluff of the concept though. It keeps the idea of focus well throughout and makes a fighting style that seems like it requires at least a modicum of thought.

All of these are 5th Edition Archetypes.

At the moment, I only have one homebrew that I would like PEACHed.

http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?503387-Ashes-and-Embers-Oath-of-the-Pyre

As for yours, PapaQuackers, I do intend to attempt to PEACH them. At
least the Frost Samurai and the Pheonix Knight, possibly the others as well. If I don't, it's because I either couldn't find anything worth changing or I just couldn't tell whether or not it needed changing.

Peach means Please Evaluate And Critique Honestly.

As for the Oath of the Pyre, I've studied it and will lay into it properly tomorrow when I have more time. Nothing too harsh, just some touching up.

Thanks. I've also posted my thoughts on the Frost Samurai. Mostly felt alright, just a few balance parts I thought could be brought up.

And for the Juggler: Most of it feels alright. I can't argue with the balance of most of the abilities, since thrown-based fighting styles really need the boosts. A couple things seemed off to me, though. First, the Juggling Spheres shouldn't add both your DEX and your CHA, that kinda goes against bounded accuracy. Instead, I think they should allow you to make ranged weapon attacks instead of ranged spell attacks. Also, I'm not sure whether or not it's balanced for the larger sphere to bounce. On the one hand, that gives you the equivalent of two extra spell slots whenever you do it. However, there aren't very many "spell attack" spells, even with Magical Secrets. So for now, I'd say it's alright. That brings a question to mind, though. Would you use a single sphere for a spell that involves multiple attacks (Scorching Ray, for example), or would you throw one sphere for each attack, up to the number of spheres you have?

Hey Sic, I've given you my feedback on the Oath of the Pyre.

I've redone the 5e Fighter (http://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/share/B1WmXWTWyg) in hopes of making it more versatile. I'm struggling, more than anything, to come up with roleplay features for the subclasses at 7th and 15th level. Any help would be appreciated!

Also, I'm thinking of going over a the Rogue, Monk and Ranger to create similar versatility, especially without the need for arcane subclasses/divine half-casting.

Here are my homebrew base classes for 5e:

Any input would be appreciated.

I'll look at the rest of everyone's stuff later, but PapaQuackers I've already provided some feedback on Frost Samurai, Phoenix Knight, and Sorrowbuddy.

I'm realizing now that in an effort to perhaps not clutter up this thread we should provide links to other threads in the forum in addition to or instead of the home brewery links. (I'm guilty too)

I would like to comment on both those homebrews without digging through the thread pages or needlessly filling this one up.

Recently, I tried to make a Monastic Tradition that was somewhere between a Kensei and a Swordsage. It was bad, and best left forgotten. However, I'm re-attempting it, without a lot of the stuff that made it bad in the first place, and I wouldn't entirely complain about some input.

Monastic Tradition of the Sublime Way (incomplete): http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?503915-Kensei-Swordsage-Monastic-Tradition-Second-Try

@Nifft: I would try to PEACH yours, but I honestly can't wrap my brain around some of the stuff from your classes, particularly the Chameleon. I'm not really fully capable of going into that kind of complexity at the moment. And I just don't know 3.X well enough to try to judge the Tsochar.

Edit: Also, now I really want to know what would happen if you summoned PEACH in defense mode.

I do wish to have my Fifth Edition monster, the Shoosuva (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?503568-The-Shoosuva), PEACHed, if anyone would be willing to. This is mainly due to the fact that though I wished for it to be CR Ten, I went through the monster creation process only for it to end up being a CR Fifteen, so I worry that I may have done something wrong.

Don't know anything about 5e, but I can look at the Tsochar. Given that it's a monster I'm not sure it's a fair trade for my longer class entry (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?501462-Focused-Champion-%283-5-Base-Class%29&p=21231068#post21231068) though. I'll give some free advice anyways on the page itself as there's a few "small" things bothering me.

EDIT: I think I'll just review it completely given that someone reviewed my class without requesting a review.

If anyone's willing to do some PEACHing, I'm working on an alternate Warlock Pact of the Blade, inspired by this (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?503557-Fixing-BladeLocks-via-Balancing) thread, as well as a few other things. I don't expect it to get very far, judging from my previous experiences with homebrewing, but I'm just hoping to make it somewhat usable. At least slightly.Link (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?504059-A-New-Bladelock-Pact-of-the-Blade-Modifications-(PEACH)).

I would be very happy to have anyone critique any of the 4 classes listed in my signature below. They are the four 3rd edition classes that have full progression casting with a very narrow school focus, modified to be up to par in pathfinder.

Ok.. I am getting really desperate. I have over 200 views on my Pathfinder-izedWarmage (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?521297-Warmage-Re-tool-for-PF) and literally ZERO critiques at all (this is including the responses on the Paizo messageboards). Either the class is 100% perfect-which I do not believe- OR it is so abysmally bad that nobody wants to start because they would never stop

Looking over your 'brew now, Sic.

I've got a TON of homebrew in my signature, so feel free to PEACH any of it! If it's old enough to be necromancy and you want to comment anyway, just PM me or something and I'll update the thread.

I'll look over this, and suggest edits if I find anything that needs changing and maybe suggest a few things.

As for my homebrew, anything besides the storm daughter, archangel, and fallen could use a good PEACHing  Although I would prefer one for the Fae blooded, feel I went overboard there...
