I am a big fan of free form and have been trying to create a system that

Limits rules on players
Keeps players roughly similar in power level
Doesn't slow down in combat

This is my system, I'd love input. I expect it isn't everyone's cup of tea, I'm more worried that I am missing some clearly obvious concept. The world is still being built so if you start link clicking dont be shocked to see empty spaces. I'm focused on the rules right now.

Some primary themes

*Heroic characters - they are better than average and usually win the story, DC's are weighted to success, but have a succeed with penalty.
Example Range

1-2 Fail
3-5 success with penalty
6-10 succeed

*Missions are broken down into a few rolls. An entire combat might be settled by a single role

*Characters are described by placing ranks in "themes" A theme is something like "stealth" or "melee combat"

*Magic (I call it power for simplicity) can be used to flavor any theme (like having fire kicks) or as a spell casting mechanic

As one quick random thought: if you're doing single-player resolution, you should use something with a stronger bell curve than 1d10.

Thanks, the 1-10 is just an example, there are +/- modifiers involved
