Scotti, the Lantern Archon Scout from Lesser Planar Binding
1 Outsider HD + 5 Scout levels
Feats:
1: Improved Initiative
3: Weapon Focus (Ray)
6: Improved Skirmish
- It's my impression that non-humanoid-shaped critters can't drop their 1 racial HD in favor of a class level. So I'm statting Scotti as a 6 HD critter, with 1 Outsider HD + 5 class HD. But maybe he should have 6 class levels instead? Meh, not a big difference in this case.
- Standard action Ray attack 1d6 +2d6 Skirmish +2d6 Improved Skirmish, with no SR and no DR, makes the Warlock look really sad.
- Trapfinding + perfect flight means a low risk of setting off most traps, which makes the Rogue feel annoyed.
- Glowing body makes the torch-bearing commoner worry about being redundant.
Jovial Javier, the Jovoc Crusader from Planar Binding
4 Outsider HD + 8 Crusader levels
Feats:
12: Robilar's Gambit
- Between Delayed Damage and the self-healing that a Crusader gets, Javier should last quite a while on the front lines, dealing retributive damage to everyone nearby. Just be sure you're not standing within 30 ft. of the front line.
Anyone else have ideas for interesting planar binding targets?
