Another thread got me thinking about cool it would be to play a a giant, or a least a half-giant, particularly for characters in Storm King's Thunder.

Goliaths open up a lot of possibilities. You could simply re-skin a Goliath to look and act a bit more like a half-giant without needing to change any of the racial abilities.

On top of that, could add various classes, feats, or abilities that could make for a great half-giant.

For example, a half-storm (or half-cloud) giant could have some levels in Tempest Cleric or Storm Sorcerer. I could certainly imagine a hefty, heavily armored, half-storm giant wading into combat and flinging around lighting based spells.

Perhaps a re-flavored Dragonic Sorcerer half-giant/goliath might make for a cool half-fire giant, with extra AC and fire related buffs and spells.

Or go more of a melee route. Barbarians would make for great bare chested half-stone giants perhaps.

What builds can you come up with that can be flavored to the different giant archetypes, optimization aside (obviously goliath's don't make the idea casters simply because of the attribute bonus)? Can you imagine a party of half-giants?

It seems like cloud and storm giants have a more intellectual/ spellcasting bent, so perhaps the Firbolg? It was previewed on the WotC site, and volo's guide to monsters comes out in a few weeks.
