Hey guys, just looking to find a custom class/subclass that fits a very weird need. Looked through the Homebrew forum for a while and couldn't find what I was looking for.

My group is wanting to play an epic quest, where we will be fighting up through the heavens, defeating deities God of War style. Each of us is a character we have played before, but has now become demigods themselves. My character, at the time, was a master of all weapons kind of guy. Unfortunately, with the current Fighter class, I have to pick a specialty. Is there any homebrew class you can think of that would fit this character better, even if it isn't perfect? I can do a certain amount of editing on my own, I just need a place to start.

Thank you.

Why do you need to specialize? A battlemaster or champion with good stats would be great with any weapon. Most maneuvers work in both ranged and melee. Or do you just mean the fighting style? If so, just pick defensive. Perhaps convince your dm to give you a "+1 to all weapon attack rolls" as a fighting style. I think that would be balanced.

Have you looked in here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=20541873&postcount=9) or here (http://www.middlefingerofvecna.com/search/label/Fighter)?

To be fair, your goal seems pretty vague. It's like you want a fighter, who fights stuff. With weapons. Maybe you should be looking into Epic Boons?

I second the middle finger recommendation, and advise you take a look at the Craftsman base class and the armigier and weaponsmith fighter subclasses.

Craftsman (http://www.middlefingerofvecna.com/2016/05/craftsman.html?m=1)

Armigier (http://www.middlefingerofvecna.com/2016/02/armiger.html?m=1)

Weaponsmith (http://www.middlefingerofvecna.com/2015/06/weaponsmith.html?m=1)

You could take the defensive fighting style if that is the issue or homebrew your own:

Something like Weapon Mastery: You gain a +1 to damage with all weapons. Shouldn't really be overpowered as it is weaker than most of the others but more versatile.

To the OP: Was your previous game a 3e/Pathfinder game?

If so, just copy/paste the mechanics and measure against what's currently available.

By definition, a Fighter is a Master Of All Weapons™. :)

The fighter pretty much is the master of all weapons already since there are no exotic weapons in 5e that require extra proficiency. Maybe ask your DM to homebrew a feat that allows you to take extra fighting styles? Using all your Fighter ASI's on different weapon feats (GWM, PAM, SS) would probably model it well enough, but then you might hurt for stats.

No, unfortunately, it was a custom system. It had no balance whatsoever. XD

That....might just work...let me run it by the group. Thank you!

That is actually something I was looking for! Thank you!

Thanks you the help everyone! I ran through all your comments with the group, and we agreed that we would give him a +1 to all weapons as a fighting style, and some boons/feats to level him out. Thanks!
