Hello all! I am making it my goal to be able to play as iron man in a pathfinder game ran by a buddy of mine. We may only play with core classes but we may use any Paizo made archetypes we wish. What I think I will do is take my first level in fighter with the tactician archetype, afterwards I will multiclass into wizard with the spell-slinger archetype. Are their any better build that anyone else can think of?

Maybe a kineticist with heavy armour proficiency. Super tough, with at-will laser-ish blasts every round, use up your life force for extra explodey power. find a way to fly and you can make all the theme work.

Honestly, if you want to be Iron Man in Pathfinder, you want the Aegis (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/classes/aegis). While it is 3rd Party, it's one of the most trusted 3rd Party Publishers Pathfinder has, Dreamscarred Press.

The Faceless Enforcer (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/vigilante/archetypes/vigilante-archetypes---paizo-inc/faceless-enforcer) Vigilante archetype has a distinctive suit of armor for their vigilante identity. The Warlock (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/vigilante/archetypes/vigilante-archetypes---paizo-inc/warlock) Vigilante archetype can shoot energy bolts from their hands and has (through various spells) access to a bunch of Iron Man-esque abilities (flight, enhanced senses, force-fields, and so on).

It's not core, but it is too perfect. Show it to your DM.

I second the Aegis, along with the Crystal Warrior archetype, which is definitely intended for the purpose of playing Iron Man, with a Psicrystal taking the place of the Arc Reactor, and energy blasts being automatically added once you reach a certain level I believe.

THIS! I was thinking the exact same thing first time I laid my eyes on the Archetype. And with the expanded PoW you can add 'initiator soul' to the armor for solar wind/tempest gale goodness on the ranged attacks

It seems like people are ignoring the restriction on Core classes only. Although if not, Psychometrist Vigilante would be perfect.

On the current build proposed, why would you be choosing Tactician Fighter? Just not 100% sure why that was chosen. Also, Exploiter Wizard would get you some Exploits you could mimic Iron Man's gadgets with.

The rules for wearing golems as suits of armour are perfect for this (although it can get costly). Slap on some at-will magic items of stuff like scorching ray and you're good to go.

Their were two reasons I picked tactician fighter. The firstbeung that I wanted medium armor proficiency with little feat requirements and the tactician archetype helps a lot with getting skill points. The reason why I chose spellslinger instead of exploiter was that I overlooked that archetype. I will soon be switching it to exploiter

As long as you're fine with being Ironwood Man, how about a Druid?. You don't have to dither about with arcane spell failure, and you have average BAB for better face-punchin' (which is a thing Iron Man tends to do). The druid list also has a solid number of damage spells; Produce Flame, Snowball, Stone Discus, Ice Spears, Flame Strike, Fire Snake, Fire Storm, Finger of Death, Stormbolts, etc. Choosing the Lighting domain (subdomain of Air) gets you Shocking Grasp, Lightning Bolt, and Chain Lightning. Ask your DM if you could trade spontaneous summoning for spontaneous domain-spell casting.

Wild Shape doesn't really fit, but you can trade that away with the Nature Fang (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/druid/archetypes/paizo---druid-archetypes/nature-fang) archetype in exchange for Studied Target, a selection of Slayer Talents, and 1d6 sneak attack (which can be increased to 2d6 via Accomplished Sneak Attacker (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/general-feats/accomplished-sneak-attacker)). Overall, it's a pretty significant combat boost, so it'd be good for a blasty-punchy druid.

Also, a custom item that is exactly the same as the existing item Folding Plate, but made of ironwood rather than plate armor.

This is hysterical. I want one.

What I did for this was to make a construct with the 'construct armor' ability to wear. My GM also let her be an Android race upgraded with construct armor who was my cohort.
