In the Elder Evil book, under the "Sign: Restless Dead" heading for Atropus, one part of the Overwhelming entry says:
they gain turn resistance equal to one-quarter of their
Hit Die total (1–7 HD grants +1 turn resistance, 8–15 HD grants
+2, 16–23 HD grants +3, and so on).
Confused because, although this works up to 11 HD, at 12 and above, the stated values diverge from the given formula; according to which, at 12 to 15 HD, the affected undead should have +3 turn resistance, at 16 to 19, they should have +4, and at 20 to 24, they should have +5 (and so on for higher HD).
The explicitly stated values seem to indicate that the writers intended for the bonus to be equal to one-eighth of the undead's HD, rather than one-fourth.
So is this a mistake in the formula, or the listed bonuses, or am I missing something?
