(L5R 4e) Armour vs spell damage.

Does anyone know for certain if armour reduces the damage from spells in L5R 4e?

Yes, unless there's a good reason it shouldn't.
It won't stop someone pulling the air out of your lungs but it does help against stuff trying to hurt your body and has to go through armor first (most fire spells, rocks chucked at your head, etc.)
