I'm soon going to be playing in a new campaign and looking at the duskblade versus the Psychic Warrior, and the duskblade looks somewhat better, but i have no play-test experience for either of them... any thoughts on the situation? Which is better and why? Which is more versatile? Which is more fun to play?

Go with Duskblade if you want the barrel o' dice, Psychic Warrior if you want to buff up and pound stuff. The main ability of the Duskblade is to do colossal amounts of damage, sort of like an arcane barbarian. Psychic Warrior powers are more buff oriented.

Precisely. For versalility, probably the psychic warrior, who can pick powers that are useful in a non-combat situation (albeit not many, because of limited power selection). The duskblade's spells have very little out-of-combat useage.

I've played both, however, and found them both pretty fun. Both are also fairly powerful as melee characters go, and are solidly balanced.

And since I used google to find the link quickly I will just post 2 similar results in the archives

the only real problem I have with the psy warrior, is the blatant lack of Power points. I'm asking my DM for more, and I'm hoping for a yes, otherwise, a duskblade might be played soon. I like the psy warrior a lot, (from reading a few different sources [thanks Ramza]) because the versatility, but the lack of PP seems to hinder his versatility.

Playing a Kalashtar helps a bit.
