My parents have a 30-40 year old official Scrabble dictionary, and my dad wants a new one. This old one has words like Xu (a unit of currency in Vietnam), Qaid (something in arabic), and a bunch of other words that probably aren't RAW legal - except that they are in the dictionary.

What's the best/most expansive modern scrabble dictionary? We don't want to lose those dubiously-legal but very useful words.

Those aren't dubious - just about any dictionary will still allow them, so you've got options. If Dictionary.com isn't viable for some reason a conventional dictionary (Merriam Webster, Oxford's English, whatever) would work just fine.

There's an online version here, (http://scrabble.hasbro.com/en-us/tools) and the print edition can be found at many bookstores (http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-official-scrabble-players-dictionary-fifth-edition-merriam-webster/1118627392?ean=9780877798224&st=PLA&sid=BNB_DRS_Core+Shopping+Books_00000000&2sid=Google_&sourceId=PLGoP62466). You can check any word you wish in the online tool; it draws directly from the print book.

And yeah, it includes Xu.
