I have noticed around the Playground people whose genders are "No", "Fangirl", "Monkey", and all manner of none male/female symbols. Why? How? I probably wouldn't even use it, I just want to know how.

They've just counted out the spaces available in the location bar, and fit in something that they want to put in for gender, so that it falls on the next line in the right place....

I mean...it's magic!!!! Spoooooky magic! :smallwink:

Why? Why not?

Actually, how IS that done now? I used to be able to do it fine but they've since restricted the amount of characters and now I can't extend them enough to overflow.

Just taking a second to point out that it doesn't work any more, due to any excess location-field lines being indented and thus messing up the true location of the gender field. Back to your regularly scheduled confusing of newbies :smalltongue:

I don't know how many characters you need before it turns over to two lines, but just put in your chosen gender, best if only a few characters, and fill the rest of the limit with a location, or whatever.

Got it to work! Of course, now I wonder if there is actually a town called Chaos here.

According to Google Maps, no. Several buildings, though.

Looks like those of you doing it are getting it indented now. Oh well. Shame I never got on that bandwagon while it was fun.

From what I've read elsewhere, there's a certain amount of grandfathering where the character limits are concerned. Folks that had longer Location entries before the limit was reduced still have them, thereby exceeding the current limit. But should they delete any of the entry, it will be lost for good.
