Insomniac idea:
Clockwork Dragon effective age categories based on starting with a Degenerate Young version that rebuilds itself into a Degenerate version, then a normal version, then starts adding variants to itself.
The time scale is based on how long it takes the dragon to accumulate the gp to pay for the upgrades in addition to the time it would take the dragon to perform the upgrades.
Am also curious how much of a CR bump a true dragon's age category progression would give to any old base creature if it were applied to the base creature like a template.
