Ok, im looking for something very specific, not generic battle music, but something like Warrior by Disturbed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X51bFfyDoLE) where you can practically see a guy standing in front of an army and flat out telling them he is going to crush every last one of them and they are right to be terrified of the incoming beat down. The kind of music where you expect to see a WWE wrestler charge down to the ring and proceed to one punch man his way through a small army of opponents. The kind of song that Let The Bodies Hit The Floor WISHES it could be.

That's a great description for March of Cambreadth, IMO.

Yeah thats a good one, I have that one in my favorites. :p

As for Frontline, thats a new one to me, its pretty good! Oh, another one I have, Cry Thunder by Dragonforce. Its a bit less personal butt kicking music, but still nice.

See also: the metal thread.
My default for a single warrior threatening a mass would probably go to Skinny Puppy (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRVDAwgsfUU) or Leæther Strip (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUzu9Gs2Joo). For a little more ominous, Pailhead (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUHsBuCKSdI)(Al from Ministry and Ian from Fugazi) is a solid pick, and if I were to have a serial killer planning/stalking a kill, I'd use this Foetus song (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j58AlDot4Sc). Actually, I know a lot of songs for that; I usually lean more creepy than macho in my musical tastes (and clearly pretty industrial).

More general battle, Tengger Cavalry (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eiRQpFDSDL4) always does it for me, but really any folk-laden metal (not what you're looking for but I just wanted to share)

For something unusual, I'm a HUGE fan of In The Nursery (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LdnFdsfqQM). They eventually got more subtle and nuanced, but the first couple records are filled with the driving military snare and synth orchestra that screams out battle to me. But this song I could more see a warrior effortlessly mowing down an army, flowing from body to body, rather than threatening to do so.

I am not the most helpful here, but I do like sharing songs I like

Hmm, sorry josh, most of those werent what I was looking for, but thanks for posting them.

Heh Toast, warriors of the world is on my list. Im not a HUGE fan of manowar, their chanting style kinda bugs me, but the chorus of their music is often fun to listen to. Die with honor for example. Iron was a great song, it had the music SOUND I was looking for, but the lyrics didnt quite fit the theme I was looking for. Who I Am, ehhh, I didnt really dig that too much. It was a bit too high pitched of voices for my comfort. Rule the world was like the diametric opposite of what I was looking for lyrically lol. Im looking for songs that a badass might sing as he charges into battle, not a song about how sometimes I tremble like a little child. I Am The Fire is a pretty badass song, that lady has some good pipes on her. Though honestly, listening to it feels like it would be a good fit for a training montage rather than the actual battle. Rocky would train to something like this before facing ivan drago or clubber lang.

And Glyph, that was a pretty good link you posted. It was exactly the sort of thing im looking for.

A bit different in style than the others listed here but my favorite metal intimidating boasting song is Quintessence (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIf2GgA1rGc)by Darkthrone

Ok THAT song was hilarious, its a guy literally just growling the words almost at a random pace. I just get this mental image of some unbelievably DRUNK dude getting up to karaoke and just YELLING into the microphone.

Apparently Traab has never heard of Black Metal or Death Metal.

I'll add Primo Victoria (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZm4zseMok0) by Sabaton which is all about one of the most kick assing-ist days in history, D-Day.
The A cappella version isn't too shabby either. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agWwSsCP6KI)
I'll also put up Apocalyptica's Grace (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUdST7WZHlg&list=PLsmv8Q07nyMCcx4Add8ETesLnTcAOVLh9&index=127).

Isn't this essentially what the entire genre of power metal is about?

My Last Attack (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEMLthMBDF4) by Holy Grail seems to be the kind of thing you're looking for, if I understand you correctly. The whole song is pretty much "you have pissed me off, and now I'm going to destroy you."

Chapter Four (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=433S3tuuB94) by Avenged Sevenfold is another good "I'm going to kill you, specifically" song.

One song that strongly conveys to me the concept of a massive battle that could be the end of everything is Dragonlord (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TqlHhXi5VQ) by Domine. A whole lot of their music is based on Michael Moorcock's Elric novels, so there's often a sense of doomed "this may be it, but I'm going down in a blaze of glory" in many of their songs, and this is perhaps the best example.

Also, pick (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eplgW_61VlE) a (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AO8nA2jEx-0) DevilDriver (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qeVd_XmB3MA) song (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpDA7l7IGkI). There's no shortage of angry, butt-kicking music from them, especially on their first couple albums.

To me half of the music from Super Robot Wars could qualify, especially the boss themes. But there's one or two that really stand out as 'I'm here, everyone who isn't me is utterly screwed now' like Dark Prison (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FS49whwHDJI) and Black Stranger (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nD9ilj5Lkg)

From recent ones:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s92-pht-_z8 Thunderbolt Fantasy. Spoiler: The beatdown starts at 1 min. Pre 1 min is him pointing his sword at the mooks and telling how finely they will chop each and every single one of them.

My standard one:

Might be worth giving the below a go... A couple of my faves leaning more on the heavier rock side of metal, similar feel to Disturbed's Warrior (to me anyways)

Volbeat - A Warriors Call.
Five finger death punch - Lift me up (i dont normally like 5FDP but the guest vocals from Rob Halford make this one)
Stonesour - 30/30-150

If you want more vocally metal options, there are numerous songs by Hammerfall, Sabaton, Ensiferum & Turisas which certainly fit the bill.

Literally anything by Sabaton - they are a war metal group, so pretty much every song is about how so-and-so kicks ass.

A little more obscure, Idu na Vy (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tvJfnvrkaM) (very loosely translated as I Bring You War) by the Russian metal band Ivan Czarevich is a good fit. It builds up to it, but by 1:35 it gets you where you need to be. Their other songs aren't bad for this either.

Veering away from metal, you can't go wrong with major-key brass. Pogonya (The Chase) (http://x-minus.org/track/15648/%D0%BF%D0%BE%D0%B3%D0%BE%D0%BD%D1%8F) is a personal favourite. There's also a version with lyrics, but I don't like that one as much.

I've always thought Amon Amarth's Siegreicher Marsch (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL1EbPs_3_A) had this vibe, even if it's about 5 warriors and not one.

I'll throw Heaven Shall Burn - Endzeit (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTkZt8r2lko) into the mix. The intro would fit a "pull yourself together"-anime-moment perfectly, and the rest of the song speaks (well, screams) for itself.

Resist and Bite by Sabaton

As I mentioned before, Sabaton definitely works for the theme, but why did you pick one of their few songs that's about losing?

Frozen_Feet

Because it's about losing with style. :smalltongue: (Also, few? I count quite a lot.)

I would recommend checking dynasty warriors OST it has plenty great songs
Dynasty warriors 4 - Eve (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAs7dk_E5jg) for example

Twilight Of The Thunder God. Either the original by Amon Amart (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFYVcz7h3o0)h or the cover by Sabaton (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cDa7yZeci8). Or both at the same time (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptQW_Yhg9Jg).

As Flickerdart says, pretty much anything by Sabaton would do, but some that might be particularly appropriate as they are about specific, real-life bad-asses:
White Death (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s43yLMgXXOU)
To Hell and Back (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYWdgBtSM8s)
Screaming Eagles (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFO0Xo9TZ54)
Carolus Rex (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Us2ylGAwBnk)

Also Manowar Sons of Odin (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GCkkcfru6SA)

I can't think of much more kick-but-ery than Mongolian Folk Metal (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwEFqT_A8bI). Can you? They only conquored the largest land empire in our history.
