Hey, I'm hosting the next D&D game that my friends and I do. Long story short I'm making a game based around the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. Any Ideas?

There are some free adventures ("casefiles") for the Dresden RPG here:

Might be worth reading for ideas, or to convert to the system you are using. Can't beat free as a price!

I'm currently running a "one shot" in DFRPG (it's in its fifth session). That's running a twist on sleeping beauty. It's set in St. Louis and the local lord and lady of the summer court just had their first child. They've invited all the other supernatural factions, including the player's representing the white council and the church, to come to a celebration of the child's naming with an expectations of gifts intrigue and an inevitable brawl.
