I was looking at the official map (http://marksworld.zeemer.com/files/maps/eberron_world.jpg) of Eberron when I noticed that Xen'drik and Everice (the continent south of Xen'drik) appeared to fit together like a jigsaw puzzle, in the same way that South America and Africa fit together. The theory of continental drift, if it applies to Eberron (and I assume it does, due to the Dragon Below causing a large amount of volcanic activity and internal heating), would imply that, millions of years in the past, Xen'drik and Everice were once part of the same continent but later split apart, just like how South America and Africa were both part of Pangaea. I then noticed similar matches between Khorvaire and the northeastern coast of Xen'drik, Argonessen and Sarlona, and Argonessen and Xen'drik. I labeled the map of Eberron with arrows indicating areas where the continents, once part of a supercontinent, had drifted apart:

I then created a reconstruction of the original supercontinent:

Due to the lack of knowledge of the shape of Everice and the northern continent, the map is likely incomplete. However, I hope this may be interesting to fans of Eberron.

It most certainly is. Though judging by the fact that the everice doesn't appear under Argonessen, I'm guessing that it's mostly ice, like our Northern Polar Ice Cap. The Frostfell is probably continent.

Also, the shapes of continents change over time. It's entirely possible that Khorvaire and Sarlona met along their Eastern/Western Coasts as well.

If Arenal doesn't quite fit, then its possible that it formed through volcanic activity after Khorvaire and Xen'Drik split apart, as the oceanic ridge should run through that area, so it could form in an Iceland like manner. I'd have to check my Eberron books to see if the geomorphology of that area supports this hypothesis though, its a long time since i've played in an Eberron game.
