Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. Mods?

I played this game a whole bunch of times back in the day, enough times to not be willing to go through the entire thing without something new. I know there are some major mods that not only do something about all the bugs of the original, but add some new features.

Any advice on which ones are the best, for bringing some freshness?

And... y'know... for being install-able for people with zero computer skills.

I remember there being something called a Unofficial Plus Patch, which was a huge fan patch that restored cut content, adjusted item placement, and added some new optional graphical tweaks, including a mod called SweetFX and some higher res textures. This leaves the game mostly the same though.

I took a quick swing through the game's Mod nexus, and most of what I found was some combat modifiers that tried to up the deadliness, and some cosmetic upgrades to textures and character models.
