View Full Version : Thoughts on the Grave domain vs Life domain

I was looking more at the new Grave domain for my Cleric I'm about roll and realized that Grave focused more on avaoiding damage (lvl 1 power excluded) while the life domain seems focused more on healing damage. Which do you think is more effective?

The grave domain is kinda OP, just from its channel divinity. You can have spirit guardians, spiritual weapon, and then with your action contribute as much damage as the next blaster in line.

That being said, life cleric is the better healer.

Is it worth the trade to be not as optimized to heal but be better at keeping my party away from damage?

The cleric will always have a hugely varied spell list. Neither locks you into a specific course of action. It's best to discuss with the DM before picking a UA subclass though.
