I have a quick question concerning the aura of confusion from the ToB. It basically says that any dice which roll maximum in a melee attack are added to the total then rerolled. My question concerns this applying to the extra damage gained from manuevers performed while in this stance. Things like Divine surge or foehammer which add dice to the amount of damage dealt, especially diving surge with its pornographic amount of d8's (well, pornographic for a melee fighter, slightly less awe inspiring to a high level caster).

This pretty much sums up the question, the actual text of the manuevers can be read on wizards own site under the devoted spirit manuevers.

The text of Divine Surge (and every other +damage maneuver, I think) states that the melee attack deals extra damage. The damage from the maneuver is therefore counted as part of the attack's damage and benefits from Aura of Chaos.

Yes. It allows all dice of the Melee attack to be re-rolled, as long as the dice roll their maximum damage.

Edit: Further, d8's aren't pornographic with Aura of Chaos. You need to look to d2's for some real heat.

Especially combined with whatever that ability is that lets you treat the 1's as 2's.
