Hi folks!

I've been tweaking and borrowing and editing and updating and houseruling for my future Eberron campaign. But I'm stuck on something. Mounts.

Magebred bear cavalry? Useless. Valenar mounted skirmishing? Pointless. Halfling dino riding? Don't get me started. And House Vadalis is nigh useless now.

I want to make riding interesting. But the action economy is there for a reason. I was thinking a feat and animal handling... Something like 'bonded mount' that lets your mount attack under X circumstances... Which may be sacrificing your attack a la beast master, or not taking the attack action, or...?

Does the hive mind have better ideas? I'm not good at coming up with stuff.

As per the rules, the mount can already make an attack if you let it do it's own thing, so I'm not sure what you're hoping to accomplish here.
