I wanted to make a character based on Daniel from There Will Be Blood. Essentially, a shrewd and cruel domineering merchant who specializes in killing divine casters.

I remember seeing a class that was essentially a weaker Forsaker except specializing in countering divine magic somewhere.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

A little inspiration (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_hFTR6qyEo).

I don't know that much about the character in question. However, I think you might appreciate those feats in pathfinder: divine defiance and focused disbelief. Basically, they give you +2 to saves against divine spells and spell like abilities and SR 11+ character level against these. Combine this with a dwarf with the steel soul feat, you are looking at a +6 to saves vs divine spells (and +4 vs all spells/SLAs for good measure) and SR. After that, you can pretty much beat them into a pulp.

Clerics have crappy reflex saves and rarely have a good dexterity, and usually are in heavy armor. Mobility and range could be helpful. Use tanglefoot bags and set them on fire with alchemist fire until they run out of magic.

That or use the spell Summon Richard Dawkins.

You're thinking of the definat PrC from the planar handbook.

There is also a Pathfinder PRC (http://www.archivesofnethys.com/PrestigeClassesDisplay.aspx?ItemName=Pure%20Legion %20Enforcer) for that.
