Role player seeking group in Traverse City, MI

As the title says I'm looking for a group to game with in or around the Traverse City area. I am familiar with 3.5, 4E, 5E and Pathfinder systems. Do any of you playgrounders operate in my area or have advice as to how I can find a casual group to play with?

If you're seeking to form a group from people who are on Giant in the Playground and in your area, Finding Players (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?51-Finding-Players-%28Recruitment%29) is probably a better place to post (or have this topic moved there).

Regarding advice for finding a group in your area in general, a good place to start is whatever hobby or game stores in which you are able to find the materials for D&D or Pathfinder. There are also formal events hosted by groups associated with the publishers. D&D 5th edition has the Adventurers League (http://dnd.wizards.com/playevents/organized-play) while Pathfinder has the Pathfinder Society (http://paizo.com/pathfindersociety). When trying out the locator for WotC, though, I noticed it came up with a location which seems to host Magic: the Gathering but not D&D. Even if you can't find organized play nearby, if the products are being sold and the store has the space for it, you might find people who are meeting there to play. Starting in a more public venue might be a better way to feel out other people than going to strangers homes.
