So I went to an asian market today, and bought some new fruits...
Jackfruit, cherimoya, and a guava.
The jackfruit was wonderful(tasting of bananas and cantelope)... But I have no idea if the others are ripe.
The cherimoya had green and brown skin, was very firm, and smells VERY strongly of a pine tree. The guava is also firm, but has the much more pleasant scent of a granny smith apple(and a mottled green and brown skin).
Any idea if the cherimoya and guava are ripe?
(feedback on how/if to eat gingko seeds wouldn't be minded either)

(feedback on how/if to eat gingko seeds wouldn't be minded either)I did a quick google and came up with these:
Cherimoya (http://www.latimes.com/style/la-fo-cherimoyas-p-story.html)
Guava (https://www.leaf.tv/articles/how-to-tell-if-a-guava-is-ripe/)
Based upon these^, it sounds like the cherimoya and guava need to ripen more before they are ready.

One other thing: I'm not sure whether you are aware, but I believe cherimoya seeds are dangerous to ingest. I'd thus advise being careful not to eat any.
