Can an AI civil rights discussion thread be created in the science section or is it considered too political?

Personally I'd call that too political, and I believe the general advice the mods give is 'when in doubt, don't.'

Sounds too political to me. But I'm not a moderator. I'd personally avoid it out of caution, though.
